Decision snapshot

Assumption note: The default values are illustrative and fully editable. A production engagement would import or validate quote, utility, financing, incentive, roof, and maintenance data from the client’s source spreadsheet before using the model for a purchase decision.

Project context

Turning a spreadsheet question into an explorable decision.

This prototype is presented as contract work completed through Delgar Professional Services for a private client. The original need was practical: show the full cost of ownership instead of treating the installation quote as the entire financial story.

The business problem

Solar proposals often emphasize energy savings and incentives while roof work, equipment replacement, maintenance, utility fixed charges, degradation, and removal remain separate assumptions.

The solution

The interface exposes each assumption as a control and recalculates installation cost, ownership cost, avoided utility spending, net result, and break-even year immediately.

What it demonstrates

Requirements translation, financial modeling, transparent assumptions, responsive interface design, scenario analysis, and the ability to turn static spreadsheet logic into a client-facing tool.
